This scheme is still under development. Its aim will be to give peace of mind to a carer who, while out and about, meets with illness or delay.
Your carers card – with your own unique private reference number – will alert people to the fact that you look after someone, and that your presence will be missed and have consequences.
The person who finds your card will ring the telephone number printed on it , which is a number at the Council’s Housing Department. There they will refer to your form and then put the appropriate cover in place.
The service will operate 24 hours a day, every day of the year. |
